Advanced Hypersonic Weapon FT-2 Hypersonic Technology Test

Environmental Assessment

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) completed an Environmental Assessment (EA), prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 and the Council on Environmental Quality regulations implementing NEPA.

The Advanced Hypersonic Weapon Flight Test - 2 Hypersonic Technology Test EA analyzes the potential environmental consequences that could result from test-related activities including the preparations, launch, flight, impact, and demobilization. The preferred alternative uses launch facilities in Alaska and at the US Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll.

Based on the information and analysis, the USASMDC/ARSTRAT determined that proposed activities are not expected to result in significant impacts to the environment.
